Does Alamy have a license agreement?
Alamy uses two different types of license agreements. One is a royalty-free (RF) license, and the other is a rights management (RM) license. Contributing photographers license their images. Royalty-free licenses allow buyers to use images without restriction while paying a one-time price. You can use the image multiple times on many platforms and use it for many years. However, restrictions may be imposed on the resale of images.
Rights management licenses are more restrictive. The license defines where, when and how the image is used, and when it can be used. Alamy allows you to filter image searches to locate RF or RM licenses.
What is Alamy’s return policy?
Buyers will receive a full refund after notifying Alamy within 30 days from the date of invoice issuance. Contact sales@alamy.com to start the refund process. If buyers find that any images they buy are defective, Alamy will also compensate the buyers. Defective images must be notified to Alamy within 30 days of delivery to be eligible for a refund. In some cases, Alamy may replace defective images instead of refunding them.
When requesting a refund, the buyer cannot use the image. The pictures that the buyer has already used may not meet the return conditions. All refunded images must be deleted from the buyer’s file.
